A lookbook based on the latest shoe selection from Evans Clothing…
I’ve been imagining a lot of beautiful outfits for the festive season recently, particularly in my posts about Yours Clothing and Simply Be! I include accessories and shoes I feel would compliment each outfit, creating gorgeous lookbooks for each brand. I have been a bit naughty however, and I’ve featured a lot of glamorous high heels. The reason this is naughty is that I rarely wear heels myself. I’m 5’11” without shoes, and I often feel too tall around my gorgeous petite friends! I have a select few pairs of heels I can rely on to be relatively painless, but I often choose flats for a night of dancing. The reason you head home at the end of the night should never be because your feet hurt!
As I was browsing the latest offerings from Evans, I noticed they have featured a wonderfully diverse range of shoes for partying. This gives a girl like me hope that high heels aren’t the only glamorous option, and provides a much more comfortable choice for a lot of ladies! I’ve featured five different pairs of shoes, each with an accompanying outfit to make the most of the party season.
Guess what guys, more velvet! It’s now no secret this is one of my favourite fabrics. I based this look around these gorgeous Black Velvet Bow Point Pumps, available in EEE fit up to a UK size 11. Rejoice, my large footed friends! These flats will keep you comfortable all night, while the ensemble is effortlessly festive with pops of red and gold in the Glitter Clutch Bag and Earrings. I thought I would go all-out and team this with a black velvet Cami and Waterfall Jacket co-ord. Finally, to luxe this look up we have this Red Lace Pencil Skirt which achieves a more ‘femme fatale’ look. Gorgeous!
There’s no way anyone can not call this look glamorous. I love the deep navy colour of these Blue Velvet Block Heels. They come in an E fit up to a UK size 10. Icy blues and silvers always make me think of snowflakes, perfect for a winter party. These heels are both stylish and comfortable, and give a huge nod to the 90’s trend that has stormed 2016. The swishy skirt and flowy sleeves of this Lovedrobe Navy Blue Pleat Dress will surely tempt you to dance, and you can pop this Diamante Clutch Bag under your arm. Finish the look with icy silver jewellery, these Teardrop Earrings and Linked Bangles are just the thing.
I adore these Metallic Cut Out Heels. They are exactly the type of shoes I need in my wardrobe. They are the perfect kind of pale bronze where they could pass for silver or gold, depending on your accessories. In fact, I really quite like this entire outfit! I’ve leaned once again towards the early 20th century, rather than the 50’s. The amount of sequins, beading and sparkle that applies to the 20’s and 30’s is perfect for Christmas! The angel sleeve detail on this Velvet Layer Dress are super feminine, and the neckline would frame this Tassel Bead Choker perfectly. Add to the metallic theme with this gorgeous Glam Clutch Bag and adorn your fingers with this pretty art deco inspired Sparkle Ring Pack.
I know that not every girl is into sequins and colours. Here’s an option that’s almost all black, and hints at an alternative gal! These Block Ghillie Heel Sandals are timeless but trendy, and don’t look too uncomfortable either. They come in an EEE fit up to a UK size 10. However, I think the show stealer in this outfit is the Black PU Midi Skirt! Everyone loves a thick, heavy fabric in winter. To jazz this up, I’ve added a Silver Foil Vest Top, and to keep warm this floaty Maxi Length Cover Up will make waiting for your taxi a lot less chilly! Finally, this Black Choker Wrap adds the 90’s grunge feel, while the selection of Silver and Black Rings and bold Black Cocktail Ring will release your inner Stevie Nicks.
Finally, we have the high heels. These Red Velvet Platform Heels are probably surprisingly comfortable due to the angle between the heel and the ball of the foot. I appreciate not everyone would risk the height, but you can admit they are beautiful! These come in a standard D width up to a UK size 11. Co-ordinate with this cute Red Velvet Bardot Top, and show off your elongated legs in these Black Sequin Skinny Jeans. If you’re committed to dancing the night away, a handbag with a shoulder strap is essential, like this Metal Chain Shoulder Bag. Pick up on those gold accents with this Mixed Metal Bracelet and Gold Clamp Bangle. I wouldn’t ruin that gorgeous neckline with a necklace, but a twinkle in your ears with these Geometric Drop Earrings should do the trick.
So there you have it! I hope you can find some inspiration in these collections. I also hope that girls who force themselves to live with the pain of heels can take a step back and realise there’s nothing wrong with sizing down that heel and glamming up! I’ve made a vow to myself from now on that I will be sticking to mid/low heels for nights out, and keep my high heels for modelling and evenings where I will be seated!
