It’s pretty clear from my blog posts about The Curve Fashion Festival that it’s always an amazing event. I’ve met my heroes, befriended my inspirations, made contact with brands I adore and hung out with my wide-spread blogger fam all in the same room (for once!). It’s also my guaranteed chance to hang with Sam (Fatty Boom Tatty) and be our ridiculous selves. She’s attending with Self Love Brings Beauty this year, so although I can’t spend the whole day with her, you can be sure of some fire photos:
Having visited in both Manchester and Liverpool, I’m so excited to see that the show has had an upgrade and is now taking place in the beautiful St Georges Hall opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station. To anyone that isn’t local or gets anxious about journeys to big cities – this is the perfect location as it’s so close to public transport and there’s absolutely no way you can get lost. Plus, you’re going to spend the day surrounded by a warm welcoming hug of inclusivity and support. The Curve Fashion Festival is a safe space for plus-size bodies, celebrating fashion that has been specifically designed for us, as well as a chance to meet, catch up with, and even party with your plus-size sisters from around the UK and further afield.
As well as some staple plus-size retailers such as Yours Clothing, Boohoo and River Island, you can discover new brands, try out new products and even shop on the day. This year, Debenhams are part of the sponsorship team, and are using this amazing event to promote their plus-size offerings. This link will take you straight to their specially curated plus section online, filled with a range of items to suit different budgets and styles. On the day, Debenhams will be featuring on the How To Stage, with one of their head designers being interviewed and taking questions from the crowd. If you’ve ever wanted to tell a brand what you want, need, miss out on, prefer and dislike, now’s the chance to get your voice heard guys!
As a special feature, Debenhams will also have a Bra Fitting station, which coincides with the release of their new lingerie collection on the catwalk! I understand this could be an intimidating concept for a lot of women, whether it’s the thought of being undressed in front of a stranger, or you are not yet at peace with your own body. Remember, these people are professionals and are not here to judge your body – all they want to do is help you support it. Regardless of whether you’re happy the way you are, or intend to change yourself in the future, wearing the right size bra is important for your body and your self esteem. If you have been avoiding getting bra measured, please use this event as a chance to be made comfortable by the surroundings, and trust these professionals to help you give your boobies the lift they deserve!
I’ve already got my tickets and accommodation sorted for the event, but the team have kindly offered 2 Standard Tickets for one of my lucky readers to win! Completing each of the following gives you one entry into the raffle, which ends on the 10th October: Like my Facebook Page, follow my Twitter, follow my Instagram and leave a comment on this blog post telling me what you’re most looking forward to at The Curve Fashion Festival. Easy peasy!
Good luck to all those who enter, and I’ll let you know when the winner has been picked! I look forward to seeing everyone at the festival, now I just need to decide what I’m wearing!
