Well hey guys! It feels like forever since I’ve last posted but truthfully I’ve just had a jam-packed couple of weeks. Time flies when you’re having fun! I hope you all gagged over my Pumpkin Spiced Patti look, and fear not! I have another fearsome and fleeky Halloween Fashion post up my witchy sleeves! Without further ado, I’d like to sum this look up:
Lets say that one of the pink ladies from Grease started hanging round with the wrong kinda folks. She starts listening to dirty rock and roll and falling for a no-good boys with evil smiles. Slowly but surely, with every bad boy kiss, her halo slips and she takes on a bit of their naughty nature, giving in to her dark side. She’s a Gothic Pink Lady! And buddy, she’s got sass…
I was inspired to create this look after falling head over heels for the stunning Hell Bunny Spider Cardigan. This little cutie is available in Black, Red and Pink, from a UK size 8 to a 22 (psst… the 4XL is so stretchy that it would easily fit a UK 24 too!). What made my heart sing was the sugary sweet pink option. How could I miss out on something so adorably kitsch and feminine with a gothic edge? It went straight in my basket! As luck would have it, the darling Lolly Likes FATshion was also selling the black version of the Spider Cardigan and it didn’t take long to wing it’s way to me! Picturing a Stanley Kubrick-esque scene, I had a vision of twin Patti Cakes in opposite matching outfits…
I think you’ll agree this terrible twosome look up to no good! For my Pink Lady fantasy, I found the perfect pink and black combos for these rockabilly twins just by digging through my wardrobe. I was also kindly sent some accessories by Dolly Cool (who also features in the Pumpkin Spiced Patti look!). Clare was an absolute sweetheart to send me the adorable Lilac Scalloped Scarf and Mystic Hands Brooch (now sold out!).
With the headscarf, brooch and beautiful embroidery around the neckline of the cardi, there wasn’t much room for a necklace in this look. I did, however, finally get a chance to wear my dreamy Bow and Crossbones Corday Spider Web Earrings!
These perfectly vintage style earrings are from a range including matching bangles and a brooch, which are far too cute to only come out at Halloween. I also wore my Dolly Cool Black Carved Bangle for this look, it’s just so versatile and suits every pinup look with dark shades in it!
With the black cardi, I wore my (now sold out) Sprinkle of Glitter for Simply Be circle skirt with my Ivory Hell Bunny petticoat (in size 3XL-5XL) to highlight the white spider embroidery. I added these gorgeous Star embellished platforms from Simply Be in an 8EEE, which are now an absolute bargain on their sale site!
With the pink option, my Closet London black panel midi skirt (in a size 24) and Black Hell Bunny petticoat (in size 3XL-5XL). For contrasting shoes, an older pair of Simply Be baby pink velvet platforms. Sugary sweet!
You didn’t think I was going to forget to mention the bag did you?!
This beauty is called the Backseat Baby and is from Sourpuss Europe! I fell in love with the dark silver, glitter vinyl delight at London Edge in September. There’s a real vintage feel about the shape and structure of this bag, especially the kiss-lock fastening. And how about that spiderweb embroidery?! It’s a win/win for me. It’s also available in a stunning purple colour!
Once again, this beautiful photos were taken by the talented Somerside Photography who never judges my often quirky shoot concepts! I am so ridiculously lucky to work with him and create this magic.
Hell Bunny always bring out the big guns at Halloween, and every year they release a fresh wave of creepy, kooky and kitsch clothing. Ghosts, spiders, pumpkins, bats and more feature in their designs. You can choose from dresses, skirts, cardis, tops and accessories, all available in standard sizes and most actually available in plus-size too. Thank you Hell Bunny!
If you can’t find these cardis in your size on Hell Bunny’s own website – do not fear! Hell Bunny wholesale to hundreds of alternative clothing boutiques around the UK and even on eBay. If you’ve fallen in love with something that was released within the past year, I can almost guarantee you’ll be able to find it in your size somewhere if you are a dedicated google searcher like me!
What do you think of these looks, do you prefer the pink cardi or the black?
